In an increasingly complex macroeconomic environment, characterised by inflationary pressures, market volatility and shifting correlations between traditional asset classes, investors are reassessing the role of gold within diversified portfolios.

L&G, in collaboration with World Gold Council and CFA Institute invites you to join a dedicated event exploring the strategic case for gold, highlighting its unique dual nature as both a consumer good and an investment asset, and its role across different market cycles.

During the session, we will discuss how gold has historically provided diversification benefits, particularly during periods of market stress, when its correlation with equities can become more favourable and how gold mining equities can serve as a valuable proxy for gold allocation within equity portfolios. We will also examine gold’s potential to act as a store of value in inflationary environments and its role in improving risk-adjusted returns when included in a multi-asset portfolio.

Drawing on the latest research and market insights, including developments in global demand, central bank activity and ETF flows, the discussion will provide a clear and practical framework to understand the key drivers supporting gold today.

This event is aimed at professional investors looking to deepen their understanding of how gold can support portfolio construction, enhance diversification and contribute to long-term investment outcomes.
