How do investment decisions evolve when financial objectives are combined with values, purpose and the ambition to create a lasting impact?
On 14 October 2026, CFA Society Switzerland, in collaboration with CAIA Association and 100 Women in Finance, will bring finance and philanthropy together in Lugano for “Capital that Changes the World Begins with a Choice: A Dialogue between Finance and Philanthropy”. The event will explore how wealth strategies can incorporate broader societal objectives, from the changing relationship between clients and banks to legacy planning and the role of foundations in generating impact.
The evening will open with a keynote by Francesca Casalini, PhD, Assistant Professor of Practice at SDA Bocconi, followed by a panel discussion featuring Giorgio Panzera, Founder & Director – Philanthropy Advisor at Fondazione Mantello Filantropia; Marialuisa Parodi, Board Member at BancaStato; and Rosa Sangiorgio, Impact Investing Advisor at RSG Impact Investing.
The panel will be moderated by Paola Bissoli, CAIA, Director Business Development Switzerland at Aberdeen and Global Council Member of 100 Women in Finance.
A fireside chat with Alida Carcano, CFA, Board Member at Fondazione Mantello Filantropia, and Maria Silvia Sacchi, Founder & Director of the Family Business Forum, will close the formal programme.
Through these different perspectives, the event will examine an increasingly relevant question for wealth management: how financial capital can be managed not only in pursuit of investment objectives, but also in line with the values, ambitions and legacy that clients want their wealth to represent.
The evening will conclude with an apéro and networking session, offering participants the opportunity to continue the conversation with members of the financial and philanthropic communities.
