Continuous learning has never been more important for investment professionals. As technological innovation, sustainability and private markets reshape the financial industry, developing new competencies has become essential to meeting the demands of an increasingly complex investment environment.
With this objective, CFA Society Italy has strengthened its long-standing collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management, offering members exclusive access to three executive education programmes designed to address some of the most significant trends transforming the profession.
The programmes will be delivered online between September and October 2026, each focusing on a different area of expertise while sharing the same goal: combining academic excellence with practical application.
The learning journey begins on 16 September with the Professional Certificate in Python for Finance, a programme designed to equip finance professionals with programming and data analysis skills increasingly required across investment management, risk analysis and financial modelling. Participants will explore Python fundamentals, financial data analysis, portfolio applications and machine learning techniques, gaining hands-on experience with one of the industry’s most widely used programming languages.
On 30 September, the focus shifts to sustainability with the Professional Certificate in ESG Analysis & Investing. Developed in collaboration with CFA Society Italy, the programme provides a comprehensive overview of ESG integration, sustainable investment strategies, climate risk, stewardship and the European regulatory framework, helping professionals strengthen their understanding of sustainability as an integral component of modern investment analysis.
The series concludes on 13 October with the Professional Certificate in Private Capital Analysis & Investing, dedicated to one of the fastest-growing segments of global financial markets. Participants will explore the private capital ecosystem, including private equity, venture capital and private debt, while developing the analytical tools needed to evaluate investments, conduct due diligence and understand the drivers of value creation throughout the investment lifecycle.
Commenting on the partnership, Giuliano Palumbo, CFA, President of CFA Society Italy, said:
“Our collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management represents an important step in CFA Society Italy’s mission to promote lifelong learning and the continuous development of professional skills within the investment industry. At a time when private markets are playing an increasingly central role in capital allocation, we believe it is essential to help develop professionals who understand their dynamics, opportunities and risks. This programme has been designed precisely to bridge academic knowledge and professional practice, giving participants access to the experience of some of the industry’s leading practitioners.”
Through this collaboration, CFA Society Italy members are entitled to an exclusive 15% discount on all three programmes, reinforcing the Society’s commitment to supporting the continuous professional development of its members.
As the investment profession evolves, success increasingly depends on combining strong analytical foundations with new technical capabilities and a broader understanding of emerging market trends. By bringing together expertise in technology, sustainability and private capital, the collaboration between CFA Society Italy and POLIMI Graduate School of Management offers professionals an opportunity to develop the skills needed to navigate the future of finance with confidence.
