Navigating career crossroads and sustainable performance: two upcoming conversations for investment professionals

11 March 2026

For many professionals in the investment industry, the question is not only how to succeed—but how to sustain success over the long term without losing perspective along the way. Two upcoming events organized by Collaborative Women in Investment Management (CWIM) aim to address exactly this challenge, offering investment professionals an opportunity to reflect on career decisions while also exploring practical tools for maintaining resilience and focus in demanding roles.

The first session, “Finding Clarity in Career Crossroads: A Conversation with Marcia Page,” will take place on 17 March 2026 and will feature Marcia Page in a live discussion dedicated to career-defining decisions and professional growth. The conversation will explore how professionals can navigate moments of transition—whether stepping into leadership roles, reassessing career direction, or responding to unexpected changes in their professional journey.

Drawing on her own experience, Page will reflect on how ambition and authenticity can coexist, and how confidence and humility both play a role in effective leadership. The session will also offer practical insights on making intentional career choices, maintaining momentum during periods of change, and defining success in ways that align with personal values and long-term aspirations.

A second event, “Inner Peace, Outer Success,” scheduled for 24 March 2026, will feature Adrienne Grace, CFA, and will focus on the role of mindfulness in leadership and professional performance. As investment professionals increasingly operate in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, the ability to maintain clarity and emotional balance has become a critical component of effective decision-making.

In this CWIM Connect session, Grace will discuss how mindfulness can move beyond the realm of personal wellbeing and become a strategic leadership capability. By integrating simple practices into daily routines, professionals can enhance concentration, strengthen emotional intelligence, and navigate uncertainty with greater composure.

Together, the two events highlight complementary dimensions of professional development: reflection and experience on the one hand, and performance and resilience on the other. For members of CFA Society Italy and the broader CFA community, they offer an opportunity to engage with topics that are increasingly central to modern careers in finance—purposeful leadership, sustainable performance, and the human dimension of professional success.

Both sessions will be held online and are open to professionals interested in leadership development and career growth within the investment industry.
